The origin middle value of the Food Prices Index along the week from 26 May to 1 June 2014 reached the 1.777 euros, which meant a decline of -6.28% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 1.9€ (-0.12€), and was placed a -7.98% under the annual average of 1.93€ recorded (-0.15€).
The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 2.18 euros was 22.85% higgher than the selected week (+0.41€), while the lowest value during the period was 1.68, that is 5.59% lower than the 1.777€ of 22th week of 2014 (-0.09€).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 22th week of 2014 there was a year-on-year decline of -10.34%, 0.21 euros under the 1.98€ reached in the same week of 2013.
Wholesale Prices
Regarding the wholesale average, this reached the 2.352 euros, which meant a decline of -2.33% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 2.41€ (-0.06€), and was placed a -7.29% under the annual average of 2.54€ recorded (-0.19€).
The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 3.07 euros was 30.65% higgher than the selected week (+0.72€), while the lowest value during the period was 2.35, that is 0.17% lower than the 2.352€ of 22th week of 2014 (-0€).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 22th week of 2014 there was a year-on-year decline of -9.22%, 0.24 euros under the 2.59€ reached in the same week of 2013.
Retail Prices
Regarding the retail average, this reached the 5.083 euros, which meant a decline of -0.86% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 5.13€ (-0.04€), and was placed a -2.23% under the annual average of 5.2€ recorded (-0.12€).
This is the lowest record reached in the entire year, presenting a difference of +0.34€ (6.61%) with respect to the highest weekly value of 2014, which was 5.42 euros.
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 22th week of 2014 there was a year-on-year decline of -1.87%, 0.1 euros under the 5.18€ reached in the same week of 2013.
