The FAO Food Price Index of the month of October 2021 reached the 133.2 points, which meant an increase of 3.1% in relation to previous mensual index of September, that was 129.2 points (+4 pts), and was placed a 5.94% above the annual average of 125.73 points recorded (+7.47 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 135.3 points was 1.58% higgher than the selected month (+2.1 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 113.5, that is 17.36% lower than the 133.2 points of October 2021 (-19.7 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in October 2021 there was a year-on-year increase of 31.36%, 31.8 points above the 101.4 pts reached in the same month of 2020.
