The FAO Food Price Index of the month of October 1994 reached the 69.9 points, which meant an increase of 0.87% in relation to previous mensual index of September, that was 69.3 points (+0.6 pts), and was placed a 4.43% above the annual average of 66.93 points recorded (+2.97 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 73.2 points was 4.72% higgher than the selected month (+3.3 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 63.7, that is 9.73% lower than the 69.9 points of October 1994 (-6.2 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in October 1994 there was a year-on-year increase of 14.22%, 8.7 points above the 61.2 pts reached in the same month of 1993.
