The FAO Sugar Price Index of the month of October 2013 reached the 115.5 points, which meant an increase of 7.44% in relation to previous mensual index of September, that was 107.5 points (+8 pts), and was placed a 5.52% above the annual average of 109.46 points recorded (+6.04 pts).
The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 116.8 points was 1.13% higgher than the selected month (+1.3 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 102.4, that is 12.79% lower than the 115.5 points of October 2013 (-13.1 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in October 2013 there was a year-on-year decline of -8.11%, 10.2 points under the 125.7 pts reached in the same month of 2012.
