The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index of the month of December 2021 reached the 178.5 points, which meant an decline of -3.3% in relation to previous mensual index of November, that was 184.6 points (-6.1 pts), and was placed a 8.27% above the annual average of 164.86 points recorded (+13.64 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 184.8 points was 3.53% higgher than the selected month (+6.3 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 138.87, that is 28.54% lower than the 178.5 points of December 2021 (-39.63 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in December 2021 there was a year-on-year increase of 36.05%, 47.3 points above the 131.2 pts reached in the same month of 2020.
