The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index of the month of November 2006 reached the 78.35 points, which meant an increase of 7.77% in relation to previous mensual index of October, that was 72.7 points (+5.65 pts), and was placed a 11.06% above the annual average of 70.55 points recorded (+7.8 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 83.01 points was 5.95% higgher than the selected month (+4.66 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 63.67, that is 23.06% lower than the 78.35 points of November 2006 (-14.68 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in November 2006 there was a year-on-year increase of 19.73%, 12.91 points above the 65.44 pts reached in the same month of 2005.
