The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of July 2008 reached the 100.1 points, which meant an increase of 7.63% in relation to previous mensual index of June, that was 93 points (+7.1 pts), and was placed a 11.02% above the annual average of 90.17 points recorded (+9.93 pts).
The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 101.8 points was 1.7% higgher than the selected month (+1.7 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 79.5, that is 25.91% lower than the 100.1 points of July 2008 (-20.6 pts).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in July 2008 there was a year-on-year increase of 26.39%, 20.9 points above the 79.2 pts reached in the same month of 2007.
