The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of July 1991 reached the 82.6 points, which meant an increase of 2.74% in relation to previous mensual index of June, that was 80.4 points (+2.2 pts), and was placed a 2.44% above the annual average of 80.63 points recorded (+1.97 pts).

The record of this month was the highest value achieved throughout the year, with a difference of 5.49% above the lowest monthly value , that was 78.3 points (-4.3 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in July 1991 there was a year-on-year decline of -0.96%, 0.8 points under the 83.4 pts reached in the same month of 1990.
