The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of June 1999 reached the 62.1 points, which meant an increase of 0.65% in relation to previous mensual index of May, that was 61.7 points (+0.4 pts), and was placed a 0.53% above the annual average of 61.78 points recorded (+0.33 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 64 points was 3.06% higgher than the selected month (+1.9 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 58.9, that is 5.43% lower than the 62.1 points of June 1999 (-3.2 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in June 1999 there was a year-on-year decline of -6.19%, 4.1 points under the 66.2 pts reached in the same month of 1998.
