The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of June 1993 reached the 77.6 points, which meant an increase of 3.6% in relation to previous mensual index of May, that was 74.9 points (+2.7 pts), and was placed a 4.77% above the annual average of 74.07 points recorded (+3.53 pts).

The record of this month was the highest value achieved throughout the year, with a difference of 10.7% above the lowest monthly value , that was 70.1 points (-7.5 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in June 1993 there was a year-on-year decline of -0.51%, 0.4 points under the 78 pts reached in the same month of 1992.
