The FAO Meat Price Index of the month of April 2011 reached the 107.7 points, which meant an increase of 4.06% in relation to previous mensual index of March, that was 103.5 points (+4.2 pts), and was placed a 2.24% above the annual average of 105.34 points recorded (+2.36 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 108.3 points was 0.56% higgher than the selected month (+0.6 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 97.6, that is 10.35% lower than the 107.7 points of April 2011 (-10.1 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in April 2011 there was a year-on-year increase of 20.34%, 18.2 points above the 89.5 pts reached in the same month of 2010.
