The FAO Cereal Price Index of the month of May 2019 reached the 94.4 points, which meant a decline of -0.21% in relation to previous mensual index of April, that was 94.6 points (-0.2 pts), and was placed a -2.28% under the annual average of 96.6 points recorded (-2.2 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 101.8 points was 7.84% higgher than the selected month (+7.4 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 91.8, that is 2.83% lower than the 94.4 points of May 2019 (-2.6 pts).

In relation to the values of the previous year, in May 2019 there was a year-on-year decline of -10.52%, 11.1 points under the 105.5 pts reached in the same month of 2018.
