The FAO Cereal Price Index of the month of January 2014 reached the 117 points, which meant an decline of -0.76% in relation to previous mensual index of December UNDEF(of) 2013, that was 117.9 points (-0.9 pts), and was placed a 1.01% above the annual average of 115.83 points recorded (+1.18 pts).

The highest monthly value achieved throughout the year of 125.5 points was 7.26% higgher than the selected month (+8.5 pts), while the lowest value during the period was 107.4, that is 8.94% lower than the 117 points of January 2014 (-9.6 pts).
