The origin middle value of the Food Prices Index along the week from 23 to 29 of October 2023 reached the 2.48 euros, which meant an increase of 6.3% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 2.33€ (+0.15€), and was placed a 11.01% above the annual average of 2.23€ recorded (+0.25€).
The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 2.59 euros was 4.56% higgher than the selected week (+0.11€), while the lowest value during the period was 1.63, that is 52.24% lower than the 2.48€ of 43th week of 2023 (-0.85€).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 43th week of 2023 there was a year-on-year increase of 19.92%, 0.41 euros above the 2.07€ reached in the same week of 2022.
Wholesale Prices
Regarding the wholesale average, this reached the 3.743 euros, which meant an increase of 2.49% in relation to price of the previous week, that was 3.65€ (+0.09€), and was placed a 3.77% above the annual average of 3.61€ recorded (+0.14€).
The highest weekly value achieved throughout the year of 4.06 euros was 8.58% higgher than the selected week (+0.32€), while the lowest value during the period was 3.34, that is 12.1% lower than the 3.743€ of 43th week of 2023 (-0.4€).
In relation to the values of the previous year, in 43th week of 2023 there was a year-on-year increase of 10.41%, 0.35 euros above the 3.39€ reached in the same week of 2022.
